"Michaelhouse Old Boys' Club : Weaner Scheme"

The Weaner Scheme was started in the 80s by John Morgan, groundsman and MiC of the Gun Club and Agricultural Society. In those days the Agric Society cattle were grazed on the estate and tended by enthusiastic scholars. As cow numbers increased and grazing on the estate became limiting, John came up with the idea of asking a couple of Old Boys and parents to rear calves (weaners) on neighbouring farmland and return them fully grown. The profits from weaner sales were put into a fund aptly named The Weaner Scheme and it is from these humble beginnings that this initiative was started. The primary objective of the scheme is to assist Michaelhouse Old Boy farmers to send their sons to Michaelhouse. Farmers' sons who will hopefully contribute and impart their ethos to their peers and thereby create a diversity of culture and upbringing at Michaelhouse.
Inspiration Images used as references of what a Weaner Calf should look like.
Simplified, alternative options that are much less detailed.
First option with a side profile of the Weaner Calf. This was later changed to a front profile which was more apt for this particular design and clearly showed the cow as a calf.
